Take Your Measure – Precision for Your Perfect Fit

“THE PERFECT FIT IS NOT JUST A NUMBER. IT'S A STYLE STATEMENT.”

How to take measurements

The perfect meter

For a tailored suit, every inch counts. Get a tape measure and ask your assistant to hold the tape snug but not restrictive, following the natural contours of your body.

Chest circumference

Pass the tape measure horizontally under your armpits, at the base of your chest. Breathe normally; don't inhale deeply. Measure where your chest is fullest: this measurement will be the basis for evaluating the structure of the garment.

Waistline

Place the tape measure at the narrowest point of your torso, usually above the navel. The tape should follow your natural line, neither rising nor falling: this measurement will determine the dress's raw cut.

Hip rotation

With your feet slightly apart (10–15 cm), measure around the fullest part of your hips. This helps prevent stubborn swelling in the lower part of your head.

Sleeve length

With your arm slightly bent, measure from the shoulder (where the rounded shoulder joins) to the wrist. Finish with an extra finger to ensure movement and comfort even with a shirt.

Shoulder to shoulder

Still using the tape measure, measure the distance between the two extreme points of the shoulders, at the base of the arm. This spine prevents lateral folds and tension.

Total length

Measure from the base of your neck, at your collarbone, to where you want to end: above your calf for double-breasted suits, at your hips for single-breasted suits.

Tailor's Tip - 1

You don't need to be precise down to the last millimeter: it's the consistency of the measurements that guarantees a perfect fit. If something doesn't seem right, we'll contact you.

Tailor's Tip - 2

Keep the clothes you're already wearing and see how they fit—it's a great comparison point. Remember: better an inch more than an inch less.

You will receive a size guide (S–XXL) that takes into account your actual measurements. Tailoring remains flexible: every dress is a challenge, our promise is perfection.
